Delete your account
You can delete your Behind The Badge account whenever you like. Checking a car never needed one, so that still works afterwards.
What deleting it does
- Your account: your name, email address and the Google or Apple sign-in linked to it.
- Every comment you’ve posted, named or anonymous.
- Reports you’ve sent stay, with nothing linking them to you, so we can still correct the record.
- Recent searches are kept in your browser or on your phone, not in your account. Clear them from the home screen.
Other ways
In the app
Open your account and choose Delete account. This is the way to do it if you signed in with Apple, which the website doesn’t offer.
By email
Email support@behindthebadge.io from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you, and confirm when it’s done. It takes a month at most. We can also remove the analytics linked to your account, which deleting it here doesn’t.
